Updates

Happy Monday, friends! I have some news:

• Most exciting: I have agreed to moderate the Ask a Book Editor Facebook group. I originally served as a panelist at an Ask an Editor event last year, and I enjoyed helping the authors so much. The panel morphed into an ongoing Facebook group where I've been answering questions for frustrated writers a while now. As of this week, I am moderating!

• A few months ago I added another publisher to my list, this time contracting for Write Stuff Books. It's a good stretch for me to get my fingers into non-fiction, and they put out some really fascinating books.

• Today I started the How to Read a Novel course offered via the University of Edinburgh. Okay, sure, I already know how to read a novel. But this course will further hone my developmental skills in plot, character, setting, and so on; all while getting a fantastic overview of this year's James T. Black Award shortlist!

I love this job.
